Tough challenge for my daughter Lisa but I think she will manage it and she is training hard for the event, a full marathon and most of it is off road and some on a beach, only 15% is on tarmac so gruelling.
The charity is for Guillian Barre syndrome and Cancer research and I see some have already given generously to the cause.
If you can dip in your pocket for a good cause then please do, its real easy to donate.
Looks like a fun event, do they need course marshals to run around on trail bikes? I'll be supporting once someone actually pays me for the last three months work.
Yeh Paul mon. Your daughter Lisa is very beautiful. This fact makes me less inclined to donate cash to sponsor her running a marathon for Guillian Barre and more inclined to give to a Donkey Sanctuary populated by flea bitten nags with limited attraction and therefore sponsorship. I suspect a dangerous undertow could be attached to this thread so before anyone gets dragged down shall go and click a link.... will will add the 70pence to get the right total if SC gets out of rehab with opposable thumbs on both hands.

A big thank you to all of you for your generous donations. So proud to have you as my friends and I really do mean that.
Today was the day and she completed the marathon running a total of 28 miles, its around the Salcombe estuary area btw. Lisa was carrying a slight leg injury but when you consider that this was her first full marathon, it was mostly trail and cross country including a relentless 1000 ft climb it was amazing and shows true grit and determination.
The total raised between the two of them was over £650 so far.
Thank you
